R1.0 Multi Track Compact Correlation Engine

R 1.0 uses Scytalys ULS’s deployed and proven track correlation algorithm, in order to provide a high performance and high availability multi-sensor track correlator. It can accept data from sensors that support ASTERIX CAT 048 and directly from AIS receivers. Corren can also provide connectivity to any existing NATO Tactical Data Links and UDL, through the Tactical Data Link Interface module and will generate a Correlated Picture by fusing the received track data.

Both system and original source tracks will be exchanged with any externally connected system, through a well-defined REST interface and will perform correlation tests and automatically correlate tracks, assuming the correlation criteria are satisfied, without the need of the operator’s intervention. Alternatively, a man-in-the-loop approach can be selected.

Track Correlation and Decorrelation

R 1.0 utilizes the track kinematics, Position, Speed, Course and Altitude (for air tracks),as the main correlation criteria and the correlation algorithm is in conformance with the algorithm specified in STANAG 5516 edition 6. The threshold values used by the algorithm can be specified during system deployment.

For all correlated tracks, R 1.0 performs decorrelation test automatically upon data updates from each of the sensors of the system track. Correlated tracks will be de-correlated if on receipt of 2 consecutive updates the updated track falls outside a distance of between 1 – 2 times the maximum correlation distance calculated during correlation test.

REST Interface

R 1.0 interfaces with any external 3rd party system through the REST interface. The interface is used to report correlated tracks to the external system. Original source tracks can also be reported to the 3rd party system via this REST interface. R 1.0 also utilizes the REST interface to report its status and all the connected interface status to the 3rd party system.

Tactical Data Link Interface (Option)

The Tactical Data Link Interface option allows R 1.0 to provide UDL and standard NATO Tactical Data Links connectivity, whenever this is needed. The Tactical Data Link Interface consists of the following components:

Performance
R 1.0 is designed to handle at least 10,000 tracks and is able to make a correlation decision test within 1 second after a track update is received.
